When you and I work together in a Private Yoga Session, my intention is not just to guide you through a series of yoga postures. My goal is to help you develop your own personal sādhanā, or personal practice — one that you feel inspired and motivated to commit to and practice consistently, whether I am there or not.
As a longtime practitioner of Aṣṭaṅga Vinyāsa Yoga I believe whole-heartedly in the potency of this practice. One of its most powerful hallmarks is that it teaches practitioners to be independent. It is here that we establish the will to remain disciplined upon this path, and are given the space for the deep kind of introspection that true yogic practice requires for transformation. Being led by a teacher in a group certainly has it’s place, but nothing compares to the deep level of svādhyāya, or self-study, that comes from independent practice.
In these sessions, I will use the Aṣṭaṅga Vinyāsa Primary Series as a guide for establishing your asanā (yoga posture) practice. In the style of yoga, a series of poses is learned sequentially and systematically based on the practitioner’s current level of physical ability and capacity to manage one’s energy through breath awareness and mental focus.
I will not only teach you how to do the poses, but I will help you to memorize the sequence so that your practice becomes yours, something that you can do anytime, anywhere. That is one of the most powerful aspects of this discipline — that is becomes our tool for grounding and strength no matter where we are.
Each of us has an inner teacher, a guru within that helps us uncover the buddhi (intuition) and tāpas (the fire of discipline) needed to stay committed to the yogic path. My intention is to help you get in touch with this teacher.

Single 90 Minute Session: $150
These sessions are ideal for those who are unsure if they are ready to commit to developing and maintaining their personal yoga practice and want to get a better feel for it so that they can decide.
Four 90 Minute Sessions: $520
This package is best for those who are familiar with yoga, and already have an established and regular personal practice. In these sessions, we will focus on establishing where you are in the Primary Aṣṭaṅga Vinyāsa Series.
Eight 90 Minute Sessions: $960
This package is best for those who are new to yoga or who do not have a current regular practice. With this package, I recommend meeting twice a week for the first two weeks, and then once a week for the remaining four. This will allow us to create a firm habit of consistency, while establishing your practice.
