It is an auspicious time indeed, when the light of Spring comes to us in our darkest hour. . A proclamation. An omen. A sign. . That sometimes (every time) our human eyes are incapable of seeing. That sometimes (every time) an intelligence is orchestrating this play with divine precision. . On this equinox, we are blessed. . That as we walk through this valley of shadows, we remember how good the light of shared humanity feels on our collective skin. . That when we all went inside to work on ourselves, our Mother came out to bathe in the sun. . . The waters. The winds. The land itself. Finally space to breathe. To cleanse. To heal. . And to the dear ones dying, sick, and fearful for what the future holds — your pain is our pain. And you are not alone. . On this day of light and dark in equal measure, we are being asked to hold both. . . The reality we face, and the alchemy potentiating before our eyes. . Today, may we plant the seeds of new life. Talking Astrology is one of my absolute favorite things to do. And this Sunday, I’ll be sharing part 1 of a four part series, designed to teach you how to interpret your birth chart! 💫 . This round, we will focus on the Twelve Astrological Houses, which I find to be the least understood. If you are interested in learning more, all the details you need are below. ✨ . A story that includes archetypal characters, energetic forces, multidimensional areas of life, and the intricate relationships that exist between them all. . This celestial story is you. And the tale is written on your Astrological Natal Chart. . . Birth chart interpretation rests upon four pillars — astrological houses, zodiacal signs, planetary archetypes, and aspects (or relationships) between the planets. In this workshop we will focus on the first pillar, the astrological houses, which can be understood as the stage upon which the various areas of our life are played out. . During our time together, you will learn: . 1. The basic break down of your astrological natal chart . 2. The significations of the twelve astrological houses . 3. How to interpret current astrology based on your natal chart . 4. How astrology can be used as a tool self-discovery, personal mastery, and empowerment . Maybe we’re not meant to figure it out. Maybe we’re meant to drop the burden of trying to hold it all together. Maybe we’re meant to let everything fall apart. . The paradigms. The belief systems. All the things we think we know and organize our lives around, only to become imprisoned by those same beliefs. . The only thing I know for sure, is that every time I think I know, something crumbles that tower of belief to the ground. And once again, I’m left with only the rubble to make sense of. . . But, the rubble itself is the most sacred gift. . It is holy ground, hallowed and sanctified with the energy of pure potential. . . It is in the rubble where we face the rawness of both our humanity and divinity. It is here where they can alchemize to transform our worldview into one that is infinitely more expansive and whole. . . And again, just when we feel we have a grip on the way things are, that same grip becomes the catalyst that crumbles those structures to the ground. And here we begin the sacred dance in the rubble of creation, preservation, and destruction once more. . . This is ascension. This is evolution. This is the healing and awakening of our planet. . . I was recently introduced to the teaching that true wisdom does not come from anything that one can “know.” What we can “know” is static. Unchanging. Unmoving. A stone tower of belief that we imprison ourselves within. . . True wisdom is always changing. It is flowing, moving, creating, evolving. And the key to accessing it is learning how to change our perspective. Over and over and over again. . Perhaps if we could remember this, we would be more comfortable in the rubble of our unknowing. . Maybe then we would stop building towers on top of the truth of the world that has been here since the beginning. 🌍 . . Maybe then, we would let the towers fall that we and our ancestors have been carrying on our shoulders for a millennia. And from the rubble, the fertile soil for real wisdom can be remembered. 🌱 . . #remember

At the end of last year, I wrote this post but was too shy to share. This year, I’m still shy, but I’m sharing anyway. . . “The Winter Solstice always seems to bring up all the feelings for me. I think this year is especially potent with it also being the end of a decade. . . “I can’t help but to contemplate all that has happened in the last ten years. All of the challenges. All the growth. The very many ways that I have changed. . . “This time 10 years ago I was finishing my first semester of graduate school. I hadn’t even found yoga yet. . . “When I look back, what I see most is how scared I was. . . “Uncertainty. Doubt. And a deeply engrained belief that I was not good enough, and that I couldn’t do it. . “To be sure, I still feel these things. But after 10 years of noticing, breathing, and of holding my own heart in my hands — the manifestations of these fears have eased. . “Like the way mountains over a millennia smooth themselves from jagged rocks into rolling hills — our inner landscape too must whether the winds and rains of our journey before the terrain becomes easier to walk upon. . . “Healing takes a long time. Creating new habits, new patterns, new beliefs, takes a long time. It is not something that we can measure in weeks or months or even years. But rather in decades. And even in lifetimes. . . “One thing I can say with absolute certainty, is that I am so much braver than I was 10 years ago. Back to the real world they say. But I disagree. For the days I spend in between are realer than real to me. . . Holidays, travel, family, snow, time and space to journey inward, and a decade new birthed before my very eyes — it seems the last few weeks happened in a blur. A beautiful, bumbling, and blessed blur. . . And my only desire is to remember. All that has been learned and let go. All that has been loved and then loved harder. . So here’s to the days in between. And here’s to the days that lie ahead where the opportunity awaits to integrate it all. . . May I remember to do so with love and compassion, patience and intention, and then probably more patience.
