Nothing drops us into our bodies quite the way sound does. Sound has been used around the world for healing and accessing expanded states of awareness for centuries. In these sessions, I guide practitioners on a deeply inward journey guided by the etheric sounds of Gong and Crystal Bowls — mixed in with the primal rhythms of Medicine Drum, Sacred Songs, and more. These mesmerizing vibrations lull us into a trance-like state, where the body-mind is able to merge with more subtle layers of consciousness. Here, deep restoration and healing is organic, intuitive, and spontaneous.

We are cyclical creatures. As beings intertwined with the Earth — this is our nature. Her rhythm is our rhythm, and when we harmonize with her, everything changes.
A most familiar cycle, is the Moon’s dance through her phases. Every month she journeys from void to fullness back to void — a procession that instinctively invites us to reflect on our own journeys, illuminating where we’ve been, and where we’d like to go.
The Moon always begins her voyage in the dark, during the time of the New Moon. With her light hidden, it is as if she has gone underground. In turn, she invites us to do the same — making it a natural time of introspection, stillness, and reflection.
Each month at Urban Yoga we will gather together to commune with this lunar energy, and to bring these cycles to life in our lives.
As a part of these experiences, we will also work with Cacao and Sound — two allies that reflect and amplify the New Moon energies in unique ways. Together, these two will help us to release the debris of the previous cycle while opening to the field of possibility that lies ahead.
Cacao, a plant medicine known for its heart opening and subtle visionary effects, will help us to expand past that rational mind and enable us witness ourselves and our journeys from a softer, more intuitive and compassionate place.
All the while, the etheric sounds of Gong and Crystal Bowls — mixed with the primal rhythms of Medicine Drum and Sacred Songs — will hold us in a sonic cacoon. Here, frequency and vibration are the vehicle for letting go, dreaming, and renewal.
